 The Raven District is within the East Division of the Sam Houston Area Council. Last year, Raven served 1251 youth with the help of 600 volunteers.

Raven District has a new District Executive. Joe De La Torre comes to us from the Flaming Arrow District where he started his career with the Sam Houston Area Council. He will be visiting units throughout the year and looks foward to meeting everyone and help make the Raven District great! He can be reached at

Friends Of Scouting
As of 7-29-10 the Raven District has raised $12,756 which puts the district at 37% of its goal for 2010. If you can still contribute to the Friends of Scouting Campaign please do so. This is how we operate the Council's infrastructure to provide the Scouting Program!
